Free, and they arrive the moment your status changes. Nothing else is ever sent.
It is packed with dust through the fan and the heatsink, which is why it is so loud and why it shuts down once it gets hot. Nothing is actually faulty on the board.
We strip it right down, clean the fan and heatsink out properly, put fresh thermal paste on and reassemble it. Nothing on your drive is touched at any point, so your games and saves stay exactly as they are.
Flat rate. Covers the full strip down, cleaning the fan and heatsink out, fresh thermal paste and reassembly, with a thermal test before it comes back to you. If we find anything actually faulty while it is open we will message you before doing any of it.
Send them this link. It shows the amount and what it's for, and nothing else about you or your device.
Approving this quote is a commitment. Nothing is charged until you approve. Once you do, payment and approval happen together, we order parts and start work, so cancelling after that point means paying for any parts already ordered and the labour already done.
Please use this instead of calling
You can message us directly and our team will be notified straight away. Most repairs are delicate, detailed work that needs uninterrupted time, and a call means putting a device down, stepping away to get the phone, then picking the whole job up again from the start. A few of those in a day and it's fewer repairs finished for everybody. Messaging keeps us working at full speed and we answer you as soon as we are free. It also keeps everything on file, which matters more than it sounds: we move between devices all day and often see similar faults, so before going back to your job we need to read up on exactly where yours is at. Keeping it written down is how we avoid mixing anything up.
The progress list above is the honest answer. Most repairs are done within a day or two once your device is with us and the quote is approved. Waiting on a part adds however long the courier takes.
We understand the pressure. Devices never fail at a good time, and for a lot of people the data on them matters more than the device itself. Every customer in our queue feels exactly the same way, so we treat every job as urgent and we are already working as fast as the repair allows. Checking in repeatedly does not move a job up the queue, and on a difficult repair it slows things down. Hard faults need long stretches of uninterrupted concentration, and every interruption means picking the diagnosis up from the start. One message is enough. We will always answer it, and if your job hits a problem we will tell you what is going on rather than leave you guessing. If contact becomes constant enough that we cannot work, we will return your device unrepaired and close the job, because at that point we cannot do right by you or by anyone else waiting. If it's genuinely time critical, the priority upgrade above moves you to the front of the queue.
Yes. Approving the quote and paying are the same step, and we order parts and begin work as soon as it goes through. Nothing is charged until you approve. If you cancel after that, an assessment fee of $50 to $150 usually applies to cover the time already spent. If we can diagnose the fault quickly without taking anything apart, you generally pay nothing. But phone calls, chasing part availability, disassembly and testing all take real time, and a diagnosis can run from a few minutes to several hours. Data recovery in particular can take many hours of specialised work just to attempt, and depending on the fault we may not know where it stands until that time has already gone in.
Then you only pay an assessment fee covering the labour, and parts where they were needed to make the attempt. Where that is a realistic possibility we tell you before we start, not afterwards. We reassemble your device and let you know it's ready to collect, and we will talk you through where it landed and what your options are.
We only access what the repair needs. If you have booked in a screen or a battery, we do not go into your device at all. You might give us your PIN when you book the job in, but if we do not need it, we do not use it. Some jobs genuinely require us to open accounts and folders, at your request, and in those cases we are unavoidably exposed to whatever is on the screen. We are not interested in what your data is. We are interested in getting the job done. Every job is treated confidentially.
Customers are entirely responsible for backing up their own data. That said, after 16 years I have never deleted anybody's stuff without their permission. It does not happen unless you ask for it, and if there is ever a risk of data being lost you will be told before we start, not after. Even when a customer asks us to wipe a device at book-in, we call again at the time of repair to confirm, and that confirmation is usually checked twice more before anything is erased. We know what it means when data goes missing. It's the one thing we will happily annoy you about, because it's better to be annoying and correct than kind and wrong.
Monday to Thursday, 9:30am to 5pm. Friday, 9am to 3pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. We are at 3/221 The Entrance Rd, Erina.
Yes, any time during business hours, and you do not need to tell us you are coming. Once a job is finished it goes on the pickup shelf ready for you to collect whenever suits. If a device is left uncollected for more than 30 days and we cannot reach you, it may be disposed of, in line with NSW Fair Trading rules on uncollected goods.
Unfortunately not. We looked at an after-hours drop box and decided against it. It creates a theft risk, and a damage risk we cannot control: if devices are already sitting in the bottom of a box and someone posts a laptop in on top of them, a phone that came in for a battery leaves with a smashed screen. That is an unnecessary problem for everyone involved, so we would rather see you in person during opening hours.
Unfortunately not. Once a device is dropped off it needs to stay with us until it's finished. To quote you we take the device apart, and if you go ahead it stays on a magnetic mat in a holding area, laid out exactly as we left it, until the part lands. When it arrives we reassemble and it's ready to collect. Taking it home in between means a full reassembly and then a second disassembly, so we would have to charge the labour twice. We will occasionally agree to it, on that basis. We are strict about this because the progress dates above only mean something if the queue holds. Devices coming and going at random is how a workshop ends up behind on everybody's job at once.
Because it's the only thing keeping your job on time. Devices are worked in the order they were approved, and similar jobs get grouped so the same tools, parts and mindset are already out on the bench. A repair gets a solid uninterrupted block, and the dates you see above are built on that block happening when it's meant to. Every disturbance costs more than the disturbance itself. A device collected early and brought back means two extra strip-downs. Someone arriving well before or well after their time pulls us off a bench mid-job. A change of mind after a part is ordered can mean starting the diagnosis again from nothing. None of these take five minutes, and none of them only affect the one job. They push every job behind it back as well. Being firm about this is not us being difficult. It's how everyone's device gets finished when we said it would.
Standard repairs carry a 12 month warranty unless we tell you otherwise. Water damage, severe impact and data recovery are excluded, and that is not us being difficult. On those jobs the goal is to bring a device back to life long enough to get your data off it. If it keeps working afterwards, good, but it's not a repaired and reliable device and we will not pretend it is. The same applies where a device has taken damage far beyond the repair itself. If you have run a phone over and you want the screen replaced knowing there is no warranty on it, we are often happy to do the job on that basis.
Yes. We sell refurbished iPhones and iPads through the website only, not in store.
