Recommended 65-Inch TVs for OLED & Mini-LED for the Lounge Room

These are the 65-inch-class TVs I'd actually stand up in my own lounge room, picked after years of pulling the back off failed sets on the bench at our Erina workshop. The choice is not about the marketing brightness figure — it is about which panel survives being on all day, and what running cost you sign up for. What fails on a TV is rarely the panel: it is the backlight LEDs and the power-supply board, which is why the Mini-LED and full-array sets here matter for a bright room left on all day, while OLED wins on contrast in a darkened room. I have laid out OLED versus Mini-LED honestly, added a one-line running-cost note per pick, and flagged the two picks that come in at 48 and 55 inches rather than 65. When a set does die — no picture but sound still there, a click-of-death power board, half the screen dropping out — we diagnose and do board-level repair on TVs rather than writing them off, and a full lounge fit-out and wall-mount is handled by our Control Freaks install side.
