Most phone repair on the Central Coast is done at a kiosk in a shopping centre — a folding table, a heat plate, a suction cup, and a tray of screens. Other party can't hear you, you can't hear them, camera blurry or won't focus. Most of these are component-level replacements and turn around the same day. Camera quality issues are often a cracked lens cluster, not the camera module.

Phone repair pricing varies a lot by make and model — modern flagship screens cost dramatically more to source than mid-range or older models, and battery costs differ by chemistry and physical size. We don't publish flat rates because they'd be misleading by the time you bring your specific phone in.

A reasonable rule of thumb: if the repair quote is more than half the current secondhand value of an equivalent-condition handset, it's worth thinking about replacement. For most repairs on phones less than four years old, this isn't even close — a screen replacement at $200–$450 versus a $1,200–$2,000 replacement handset is an easy call. For older phones (iPhone 8 and earlier, Galaxy S10 and earlier), the maths gets tighter, particularly if the battery also needs doing.
The other axis is what's on the phone. If your photos, messages and account access aren't backed up anywhere else, the urgency to recover the device is much higher than the dollar figure suggests — especially for water damage and dead phones where the data is sitting on the chip waiting to be read. We tell people honestly when a repair doesn't make economic sense, even if it costs us the job. Long-term reputation is worth more than one borderline repair.

Short straight run on The Entrance Road from Gosford, Terrigal, Avoca, Kincumber and Wamberal. Bus 27 stops nearby; Erina Fair shopping centre is a few minutes walk.
If you're elsewhere on the Central Coast and a trip to Erina isn't practical — or you're anywhere else in Australia — we accept phone repairs by post regularly. Call or message us first so we can confirm your model and quote, then ship the phone tracked and insured for its full replacement value (Australia Post Express with signature on delivery is the standard). We complete the repair within 24 hours of arrival at the workshop and ship it back tracked the same day. Round-trip is typically 4–5 business days end-to-end.
When you pack it: original box if you've got it, otherwise wrapped in bubble wrap with at least 5cm of padding around all sides in a sturdy box. Pull the SIM card and keep it. Include a note with your name, phone number, and a quick description of what's wrong.
