Fixed workshop at 3/221 The Entrance Road, Erina, about 10 minutes east of the Gosford CBD. Same-day on most repairs, 12-month warranty.
Gosford runs on the train. If you catch the T1 from Gosford station down to Sydney, or you work in the CBD near the hospital, the courts or the office towers, a cracked screen or a battery that dies by lunchtime is not a minor annoyance. It is the one thing you cannot go a day without, not when it holds your train times and every work message. iFix Electronics has been the Central Coast's specialist phone repair workshop for 16 years, working from a fixed shopfront at 3/221 The Entrance Road, Erina, about 6.5 km and roughly 10 minutes east of the Gosford CBD. Not a mall kiosk, not a roving van, a real bench with proper test gear, microsoldering equipment and the parts stock to turn most repairs around the same day.
About 10 minutes east from the Gosford CBD on the Central Coast Highway, which becomes The Entrance Road at Erina. We are on the main strip, a few minutes from Erina Fair, with free off-street customer parking directly out the front. No meter, no time limit, unlike a kerbside spot in the Gosford CBD where you are watching the clock.
Buses run between Gosford and Erina Fair through the day, so you can leave the car at home. From the Erina Fair interchange the workshop is a short walk along The Entrance Road. Call first and we will tell you the closest stop for your route.
Drop the phone with us in the morning before you head to Gosford station, and on most models it is ready before we close, so you collect it on the way home. We open Monday to Thursday 9:30–5:00 and Friday 9:00–3:00, closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Same-day on most iPhone, Samsung and Pixel jobs when the part is on the shelf.
If you are in the city every weekday and cannot make our hours, post the phone in. Call or message first to confirm the model and quote, send it tracked and insured, and we repair it within 24 hours of arrival and ship it back the same day. Full logistics are in the mail-in section below.
A commuter phone has to survive the round trip to Sydney and back on one charge, with the screen up on the train and hotspot running. If yours is shutting down under load, dropping below 80% health, or dead by early afternoon, a new battery (never refurbished) with a 12-month warranty puts a full day back in it. Fitted same day on most models.
iPhone battery guide →Cracked glass, dead pixels, touch dropping out, backlight gone. iPhone, Samsung, Pixel and most other brands with OEM-quality panels and a 12-month warranty. Drop it before your train, collect it after; same-day on most models we hold in stock.
iPhone screen guide →Cable only holds at a certain angle, charges slowly, or you are jiggling it on the platform. Usually pocket lint compaction or a worn port. We clean and diagnose first, and replace the port assembly only if it is worn beyond repair.
Charge port guide →Caught in the rain on the walk to the station, dropped in the sink or the surf. Do not turn it on or plug it in, because corrosion starts the moment fresh water reaches the board. Bring it straight to the bench for ultrasonic cleaning and board-level repair.
Cracked rear panel on iPhone 8 onwards or any modern Samsung or Pixel. We replace the glass without compromising wireless charging or the camera lens cluster. Quoted per model, since some lift off quickly and others need a full housing transplant.
The person on the other end of the work call cannot hear you, you cannot hear them, or the camera will not focus. Most of these are component-level replacements that turn around the same day. Blurry photos are often a cracked lens cluster, not the camera module itself.
Galaxy AMOLED panels are unforgiving, and the low-grade aftermarket ones show banding and burn-in fast. We offer both genuine Samsung service-pack and quality aftermarket options and explain the trade-offs before you choose.
Samsung screen guide →Pixel screens have model-specific quirks. Pixel 6 and 7 fingerprint sensors need recalibration after a screen swap, which we do as part of the job. Pixel Fold inner displays are a separate quote.

Start with what the phone does for you rather than the sticker on a new one. If it carries your commute, your work calls and your travel card every day, keeping the device you already know is usually the better outcome, and a repair gets you there for a fraction of a replacement. A workable rule of thumb: if the repair quote is more than half the current secondhand value of an equivalent-condition handset, it is worth thinking about replacement. For most phones under four years old that is not close, and the repair wins on both value and hassle.
The other axis is what is on the phone. If your photos, messages and account access are not backed up elsewhere, recovering the device matters far more than the dollar figure suggests, especially for water damage and dead phones where the data is sitting on the chip waiting to be read. We tell people straight when a repair does not make sense, even when it costs us the job.
If it genuinely is not worth fixing, there is a better landing than a brand-new flagship. Browse our certified refurbished iPhones, Samsung Galaxies and Pixels and our refurbished phone range, each one bench-tested by the same technicians who do the repairs, with a workshop warranty and full IMEI and activation-lock verification before listing. For a sense of where prices sit across common services, see our pricing guide.
Plenty of Gosford commuters are on the Sydney train before we open and back after we close, so mail-in is built for exactly this. Call or message first so we can confirm your model and give you a quote, then ship the phone tracked and insured for its full replacement value (Australia Post Express with signature on delivery is the standard). We complete the repair within 24 hours of arrival at the workshop and ship it back tracked the same day. Round-trip is typically 4–5 business days end to end, and you never have to take a day off to sort it.
When you pack it: pull the SIM card and keep it, use the original box if you have it, otherwise wrap the phone in bubble wrap with at least 5cm of padding on every side in a sturdy box. Include a note with your name, phone number and a quick description of the fault.
