25 min from Umina Beach • Peninsula Mac & iPhone specialists • Same-day where possible
Umina Beach is a 25-minute drive from our Erina workshop, and while there are a couple of phone-fixing options on the Peninsula, none offer the board-level repair, data recovery, and Mac specialty that we do. If your iPhone has stopped charging, your MacBook battery is swelling, or your laptop hard drive has died and you need the data back, the trip up Mt Ettalong is worth it. Many Umina locals time the trip with a Westfield Erina shop — drop the device in first, browse the shops or grab lunch, and pick it up on the way home that afternoon.
Umina, Ettalong and the Woy Woy Peninsula all share the same coastal-air challenges that Avoca and Terrigal have — salt corrosion on charging ports, water damage from beach trips, and battery degradation accelerated by humidity. We also see an older customer base on the Peninsula, which means a lot of older iPads and iPhones with charging issues, slow performance, and battery problems from eight or nine years of use. Often a $99 battery replacement gives a Peninsula customer another two years of life out of an old device they didn't actually want to replace. We'll always tell you honestly whether a repair is worth doing or whether the device has reached end-of-life.
From Umina Beach, head east on Sydney Avenue to Empire Bay Drive, then follow Empire Bay Drive to Kincumber and continue to Erina via Avoca Drive. The full drive is 25 minutes via Empire Bay Drive and the Central Coast Highway. We're at 3/221 The Entrance Road, on the right just after the Karalta Road lights. Free parking out front.
